This auction is for a used RIM BlackBerry 9800
Torch in Black. The unit is in excellent operating condition, with no
known problems when it was in service one month ago. The physical condition is very good to
excellent. There are three miniscule
nicks on the bezel surrounding the screen.
I’ve tried to show them in the photos, so look closely.
The auction includes the phone, one battery, the OEM standard charger, the PC connection USB cable, OEM earphones, instruction guide and software CD, and a 4GB MicroSD memory card. The unit has also been security wiped and reset to factory defaults.Most of you who are viewing this auction are probably already familiar with the capabilities of this device. Do NOT buy this phone thinking it will work, out of the box, on any other network, such as T-Mobile, Rogers, etc. You would have to get it unlocked first to work with other carriers. If you do not understand what any of this means, or have any questions about compatibility with other networks, do a web search to tutor yourself about locked vs. unlocked phones. If you purchase the phone for use on other networks, only to belatedly discover it is not compatible, then I will not offer any refund. Again -- educate yourself before bidding!Auction is for U.S. buyers only. I will ship only to U.S. addresses or accept payment only from bidders with a U.S. address. I will not respond to requests to do otherwise.I also will not end the auction early. Again, there will be no response to requests to do so.Regarding shipping:I will ship the item within 36 hours after full payment has been received. Determine your shipping cost by using the shipping calculator below. There are no additional “handling” charges.Regarding payment:I will expect payment within 5 business days of auction end. Any more than that is just plain rude. If I do indeed find the item to be defective for reasons unrelated to shipping damage or user abuse, then I will refund the auction price as well as shipping costs.Regarding No-pay Bidders:There seems to be a rash of no-pay bidders on Ebay these days, mostly people new to Ebay with low feedback scores, who do not seem to understand that a bid is a commitment to pay. Neither, apparently, do they realize that for a seller to get a refund of listing and final value fees from Ebay after a no-pay auction, the seller must open a case against the no-pay bidder. This usually results in a delay of a week or two before the item can be re-listed and sold to responsible buyers; which usually results in extreme irritation on my part.Therefore, I will definitely open a no-pay case against any such bidder - no matter the reason - if you outbid other serious buyers and then do not pay.Happy bidding!
